Seminar with writer and critic Garth Clark
Garth Clark, renowned gallerist, writer, speaker and art critic - the most active on the International ceramics scene - will hold a one day seminar at KHiB, chaired by Richard Launder.
The seminar will be held at KHiB on 26 March 2012. Clark will give two lectures as well as an open question & answer dialogue:
Vulcan God: Lucio Fontana and the Kiln
Venue: KHiB C. Sundts gt. 53/55, 3rd floor
10.30 - 12.00: Fine Art lecture room, lecture and
12.00 - 13.00: open dialogue questions and answers
This is something of an eye opener and sumptuous visually, it's a review of the Italian artist's works in ceramic. His entire career with clay (including 12 years predominantly as a ceramist) has never been explored fully until now.
Mind Mud: The Conceptual Ceramics of Ai Wei
Venue: Landmark, Rasmus Meyers Allé 5, Bergen
Time: 19.00 - 20.30
Hot from presenting this lecture at the V&A Museum London, during the closing week of the Ai Wei Wei show. Garth will write and publish a book in the near future, with the same focus.
Both are open lectures - welcome!
