Tao G. Vrhovec Sambolec, Research Fellow at Department of Fine Art at KHiB, presents his sound intervention Heredrum 17 September at Torgallmenningen in Bergen. The sound intervention focuses its attention on the imperceptible and hidden rhythms of everyday walking by attentively observing, capturing and performing these rhythms on the spot of their occurrences.

For the eleventh year in a row BA students at Bergen Academy of Art and Design have qualified to showcase their furniture at the Stockholm Furniture and Light Fair. This is the most important arena for furniture producers and designers in Scandinavia. The fair takes place 4-8 February 2014.

The exhibition is open 7-14 February. The seminar is open to everyone and takes place on Wednesday 12 February in Rom 8.
Due to a number of blank votes in the election of a new rector at KHiB, none of the two candidates Gerd Tinglum and Maria Hirvi-Ijäs managed to get half of the votes. The election board has decided that a new election round wil take place between 28 April and 2 May.
Sabine Popp, Clare Reynolds, Kate Lynch, Carl Fedarb and Sofie Knudsen Jansson met through the artistic research project Topographies of the Obsolete. Elements of the dialogue on Work Study are transferred from a former ceramic factory in England to the laboratory like situation of ROM8 in Bergen. Exhibition opening: 3 April.
SYNSMASKINEN is a new performance-group established by the Danish artist Frans Jacobi, professor of performance and timebased art at Bergen Academy of Art and Design, KHiB.

This is an exhibition about Laksevåg, the people living there and their dreams for the future, and how some of the dreams might come true by Linda Lien and Bente Irminger, in Rom8 from 10 to 29 June.
Alistair Payne, Glasgow, adresses indisciplinarity through themes across the painting surface and the painted surface, as well as through projection and the moving image in his artistic research. The exhibition 'Indisciplinary Behaviour' opens on 9 January 2014 in Rom8 at 5pm with an artisttalk and discussion foollowed by an the opening at 6pm. Eamon O'Kane, Professor of Visual Art at KHiB, shows the exhibition "And Time Begins Again" in Rom8 until 3 September. At the opening on 27 August Brandon LaBelle, Professor of New Media at KHiB, launched the book "Lexicon of the Mouth: Poetics and Politics of Voice and the Oral Imaginary".
