SYNSMASKINEN is a new performance-group established by the Danish artist Frans Jacobi, professor of performance and timebased art at Bergen Academy of Art and Design, KHiB.

The Norwegian Design Council, Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Royal Norwegian Embassy in London have chosen Bergen Academy of Art and Design (KHiB) as their main partner for 100% Norway in 2014.
The annual BA Degree Show takes place in four different galleries and showrooms in the city centre from 14 to 18 and 19 May 2014. Approximately 60 candidates show their exam projects. The exhibition opens 14 May at 4 pm in Marken 37.

For the fifth time Bergen International Wood Festival (BIWF) is organised by Bergen Academy of Art and Design in collaboration with other organisations. This year, the Festival is taking place in the heart of Bergen, in Vågsbunnen, from 12 to 16 May. 22 teams from 17 different countries, i.e. Canada, Egypt, US, Australia, Portugal and Hungary, are competing.
Bergen International Wood Festival (BIWF) is taking place in Bergen 11 to 17 May 2014. Designers, architects, artists, craftsmen and students from all over the world are invited to participate.
For 28 days Oscar and Peter have been living in the old lighthouse on the tiny island Struten in the outer Oslofjord. Isolated and alone, without access to any modern impulses such as Internet, TV, radio, music or telephone, they have tried to understand and relate to this island in a new way. By making measurements, notes and taking photographs, they have been observing, exploring and documenting the island and the surrounding landscape.
Professor Mette L'orange and associate professor Charles Michalsen, from the Department of Design at Bergen Academy of Art and Design, contribute with papers at the Cumulus conference in Aveiro in Portugal between 8 and 10 May.
