5 days, 5 workshops, 100 pictograms. Ashley Booth and Linda Lien with invited guests. We can all feel underprivileged and have a "difficult day". It can apply for shorter or longer periods and it may affect us as an individual or as part of a group facing challenges in society. In the exhibition Pictogram-me we collect the stories of a difficult life and transform them into a series of pictograms.
Heli Rekula, Professor of Photography at Bergen Academy of Art and Design, shows 'In Hemingway's Garden' at Oslo Kunstforening. The exhibition consisting of photographs, vintage press photos and other archive material opens 18 January and includes some new works part of Rekula's artistic research.

An MA student in design specialising in Visual communication at KHiB shows an exhibition on the visual rhetorics of the Iranian Green Movement at Bergen Resource Centre for International Development from 13 to 17 January. She holds an opening lecture on Monday 13 January at 3:30 pm.

Alistair Payne, Glasgow, adresses indisciplinarity through themes across the painting surface and the painted surface, as well as through projection and the moving image in his artistic research. The exhibition 'Indisciplinary Behaviour' opens on 9 January 2014 in Rom8 at 5pm with an artisttalk and discussion foollowed by an the opening at 6pm. You can visit the exhibition til 19 January 2014.
