"Aesthetics of Resistance: An investigation into performative politics of contemporary activism" is the title of Professor Frans Jacobi's doctoral dissertiation at Malmö Art Academy, Lund University which took place on 5 December. The exhibition is open until 21 December.

Brandon LaBelle, Professor in New Media, organises the "Dirty Ear Forum" on sound, multiplicity and radical listening from 18 till 20 January in Berlin. An exhibition presenting the results will be open in the period 27 January - 3 February.
MA students in Fine Art, Stacy Brafield and Lona Hanser, exhibit installations and spatial drawings at the "3300 M". The show is open from 2 till 4 November. Opening on 2 November from 7 to 9pm.
Associate Professor Øyvind Suul shows large sculptural pieces and an installation at the exhibition "mountain divided house dislocated " which opens on 2 November. It will be on until 2 December in Galleri Format in Bergen.
Helen Petts, an artist & film maker based in London, will be visiting KHiB on 19 October to present her most recent work, "Throw Them Up And Let Them Sing", a 30 minute, poetic, essay film. The film and the lecture take place in C. Sundts gt 53, 4th floor (Lecture Room). The presentation is open to everyone.
Christine Hansen's article "The Hardanger Issue and the Visualization of a National Landscape" was published in the last issue of Nytt Norsk Tidsskrift by Universitetsforlaget. Christine Hansen is Associate Professor II in Photography at KHiB.
Signe Lidén, artistic research assistant at KHiB, shows the process and results of the artistic research project "The Cold Coast Archive" together with Annesofie Norn and Steve Rowell in Rom8 from 16 November.
Artist Hildur Bjarnadottir is employed at KHiB as a Research Fellow for three years from Ocotber 2012 with the project "Textiles in the Extended Field of Painting".
Designer Erlend Bleken is employed at KHiB as an artistic Research Fellow for three years from October 2012 with the project "Designed elderly care - providing wellbeing for the old and frail with dementia".
Three of the ten new positions as Resarch Fellow in the Norwegian Artistic Resarch Fellowship Programme for the period 2012-2015, went to artists and designers who applied through KHiB.
